On Becoming; amplified

This project accompanies the founding of 'amplified', a new Swiss music magazine. Through conversations, reflections, and documentation, 'Edition Zero' gathers knowledges on how and why a collective embarks on this journey. The project traces the positioning, thoughts, and decisions of the founders—revealing the complex realities of professionals in the music industry while centering marginalized voices. It also engages with the challenges of contemporary publishing and independent music journalism, questioning whose stories are told and how.

On Becoming; amplified will be present at TFT both passively and actively.

Throughout the event, a working station invites visitors to engage with the ongoing process of Edition Zero. You’ll find materials, research notes, and editorial reflections on music and today’s industry. Take a moment to read, reflect—or contribute your own thoughts and writing.

On Wednesday, April 30, the project will be activated through a live panel talk, where industry friends and professionals come together to discuss the current realities of the music industry and the role of media within it. Join the conversation with Flo Diemer (sie/ihr); Shannon Hughes (sie/ihr) – moderated by Katerine Omole (sie/ihr)!

The working station is equipped with seating at table height and provides printed materials in English and German. Texts are printed in a legible font size. A quiet atmosphere is intended during most of the time.
